Winter
Its the reason we see so many of our visitors return year after year, winter in Whistler means a whole lot more than the 7,000 plus acres of terrain that the two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, offer. Along with world class skiing and riding and parks and pipes for all abilities, Whistler shines as the winter holiday destination of the west.

Everyone is charmed by the ambience of the village when draped in snowy Christmas lights. Like an old-fashioned European village nestled between snowy mountain peaks, Whistler offers the best of everything, unique shops, five star restaurants and all types of family activities.

With the redevelopment of Creekside, at the base of Whistler Mountain, now even more amenities are available to every Whistler visitor. With additional mountain access, restaurants stores and ski school, the Creekside offers yet another Whistler option. And as proof of its special ambience, Whistler Blackcomb along with Vancouver has been chosen as the site for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Games.

In Whistlers snowy winter months there is more to do than just ski or ride, in fact you probably could never participate in every activity there is in one trip, which is why guests return winter after winter.

On a clear night if the moon is full and stars are shining, the mountain hosts a nighttime dine and ski or you can snowmobile up to a fondue dinner. A horse-drawn sleigh ride with the snow falling and the sleigh bells ringing makes a charming and romantic memory. Families will enjoy the free night skiing, boarding and tobogganing every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights under the magic chair at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, and the Fire and Ice Spectacular and fireworks every Sunday night at the base of Whistler Mountain.
